Is there another umd dumper I should be using? Or should I downgrade my custom firmware? I tried ripping each of the games at least 6 times, so its not a bad rip
LoL, if you bothered looking at the first post of this thread, you would find a guide on how to dump a rip with an app called "USB Special System Storage". So try using that and see if it works.

Hey there, I'm a noobie to all this and I was just wondering if I dump a rip from my PSP game with "USB Special System Storage", will I still be able to play the original umd and will it have changed in any way?

Thanks heaps! :)

"To koit965"

To get to Recovery Mode you must first have one of Dark_Alex's Custom Firmwares and hold R during PSP boot to access Recovery Mode.

"CJay_bomb"

If you dumped a rip from an original umd, it will not be changed and will still be able to run.

I did everything as said on here, disabled the no umd in recovery mode and used the usssb riping device, and I still can't seem to get ratchet and clank, "size matters" to work, I have tried to differt games from two seperate video stores, and neither one even works on my psp which is wierd, I have oe 3.40, do the new games like that make you use an upgraded firmware that won't allow us to access it with 1.5 or custom firmware?

Alright I searched, for the answer to my question about ratchet and clank, so if anybody has the same problem, go to this url... http://pspupdates.qj.net/Get-Ratchet-and...pg/49/aid/83267 , My next question is, when I changed all the settings in the recovery menu that it tells me to, will I have to change it back to play the other games, or emulators like nes, and snes? And what does the infastrucure of the game mean, And how do I put it in dev hook? is that the exploit tool?

Hi

Sorry, used USS to transfer UMD to PC, then transfered from PC to Iso folder of mem stick. Worked fine on firday played game.

Then today put another iso transfered via USS to iso folder and then both games gave error message that the game could not be started. exactly like USS when not in the game150 directory.

Have formated mem stick and put back iso's but still does not work.

1.) What games are they?

2.) Try going to "Recovery Mode" then "Configuration" and "Enable No-UMD", then exit "Recovery Mode" and then try running the game.

To get to"Recovery Mode", Hold the "R-Button" then turn the PSP on, don't release the R-Button until the PSP has booted up.

Hey Thisdude.

Your help has sorted out my issues before, wondered if you could shread some light on this one.

I have brought 2 different memory sticks, 1 is a Sandisc 4gb and the other is a Sony highspeed 4gb. Both I have formatted and then they do not work again, even shut my laptop down (without direct shutdown just powers off).

any ideas

You should have really started a new thread on this, but seeing as you are not much of a troublemaker maybe I can help you.

So:
1.) Did you formated the disks with a PSP or with a computer?
2.) Where did you buy them from?
3.) Did they use to work before formattng?
4.) Are they in Memory Stick PRO DUO format?
5.) If they are then when you pop it in the PSP does it show up?
6.) If it does show up then highlight the stick and press "Triangle" and choose "Information". Does it say MagicGate - Supported. Or MagicGate - Unknown?

HI

1. Formatted with the PSP.
2. Brought one from ebay, and the sandisc from a shop.
3. Both worked before formatting, but did not have iso folder.
4. Both pro duo format.
5. Both show up. The Sony one says can not be read, please format. The sandisc shows up, but 0Kb.
6. The sandisc shows up, but Magicgate Unknown.
