Hi All, I've been following these threads for a while and decided to join the forums and try participate.
NO, I'm NOT going to ask when a downgrader will be available! hehe.
Am rather intrested in the possible progress this 'xploit' could possibly have.
Have no programming abilities but am looking for the best receipient to direct some funding to develop downgraders as I have more cash than brains! (As u can see I am also in need!)

Hey Scott2k7.
I use the PSP's to entertain kids at a chidren's home. Rather a waste to purchase 6 copies of NFS etc!
I also have 2 PS1's, 2 PS2's (one in car)and Xbox. PS3 just not worth the bucks!
Yeah, Yeah. Only discovered that OE was available for PSP's after 3rd purchase. Managed to purchase others with lower firmwares.

So is TEAM NOOBZ the one thats working on the downgrader now? Or is everyone, I know I am. lol I wish I new something about programming.
What kind of programming is that anyways?
Is it a certain language that they have to figure out? And how could they possibly decrypt it?
I want to be able to do it. *jelous*

this could definately lead to a 3.40 or 3.30 downgrader.
It is a HOMEBREW Program that restarts your psp,
if this gets any more advanced, dark alex can make a program that dosent turn your psp to a 1.00 version, he could possibly make a 3.40 oe upgrade with this. Its possible.
This program can lead to a downgrader. theres a 95% chance.
yet, im stuck with TA-082 3.11 fw, however i do make homebrew with someone elses psp.
keep up the exploits!

cant he just overwrite all the 3.40 flash files with the version 1.5 files with 2 eboots deleting the 3.40 files out of the eboot and flash then write it with a version 1.5 flash eboot

if he does it in 2 eboots, the first one will delete all the flash files, thus the psp will be solidly bricked, no firmware whatsoever, then you wont be able to run the next eboot.
he could simply overwrite the old flash files (3.40) with the 1.50 firmware dump, thats the safest way. If he makes it correct the psp wont say it cant upgrade/downgrade because your psp is a higher version than your trying to upgrade to.

exactly and somehow if u could make ur 3.11 psp was making the 3.40 upgrade that would be easy as pie do u think thats a gd idea?
if u could modify the firmware of 1.5 to make it 3.40 upgrade bit but its really 1.5...
i wanna try this soon wen i start coding and i might even try to make my own custom firmware...
that would be cool being known around the world!

OK, guys, I fully support what's going on here, but I've gotta let you guys know. I'm a top, experienced poster on PSP3D, so I (hope I) know what I'm talking about.
This EBOOT.PBP is nothing but a mere corrupted file, in which the PSP attempts to load it. The system shutting itself down is merely self-defense from running unsigned or corrupted code. So as far as I'm concerned, this will go nowhere as is, because there is nothing "security-breaching" about this.
I've gone through theory after theory, and I've gotta tell you, I've seen plenty of EBOOTs like this, and none of them lead anywhere exploit-wise.
Again, sorry to bring down the enthusiasm, but just don't get your hopes up about this one. One day, we'll have a 3.40 downgrader, don't you worry. I remember with 2.00, no one ever thought that there would be any exploit. Look at it now, there's about 5 methods of downgrading it!
Anyways...that's all I've got to say on this one.
