yea honestly forget microsoft i too do have an xbox 360 but mine has been working just find. I hated microsoft pcs and theyre windows...i recently switched to apple and bought a mac the difference in quality is amazing microsoft is just a load of crap

I'm not alone! I love my MacBook! Got it a Week ago! The difference in apples customer service and Microsoft's Customer service is astronomical! I am so impressed with apples customer service!

I ordered my Black MacBook from Apple.com and I used a credit card I hardly ever use and about an hour after I placed the order I got a call from the credit cards fraud agency saying there was unusual activity on my card and that it had canceled the order if the MacBook. (I had also boughten 2,000 bucks with of fireworks the night before on that card) I called Visa and told them to accept the charges because I had placed those orders so they told me that I would need to resubmit the order for the macbook... so I called apple and explained the problem and as an apology for the inconvenience the shipped the macbook for free and upgraded my ram from 1GB to 2GB and it wasn't even their fault! Yeah so that impressed me! They shipped it overnight air too! That was so awesome!

dude i love my macbook its so small and sexy and a 12 second boot up time is amazing if apple was to make a gaming unit i would definetly make the switch my macbooks only 2 weeks old and im already never going back to microsoft trust me this xbox was my last purchase any luck with yours?

and do you think the extra 150 for the macbook in black is worth it mines white and im loving it im considering putting a thin colored film over the logo so it lights up a different color

i have just spent the last 2 hours cleaning the cpu and gpu and the heatsincks on my 360. so hopefully after i put some new thermal compound on it will work like new agian. it was obvious when i looked at the cpu that it was the part that was over heating because the thermal paste was completly dry and hard.

well here is my story about a week ago I bought a 360 premium new because I figured it's safe since they announced the 3 year warranty. Well 3 days later I fired the baby up to pla call of duty 3 and I almost got an effing heart attack 3 red lights. It brought me to tears so I called microsoft and they said not to worry your covered its all good in the hood until the lady said its gonna take 4-6 weeks and thats if the 360 I get back even works! So now I'm stuck I can't miss halo 3. No effin way. So I was thinking of sending it to some dude I know who can mod it, give me games, and fix the red lights for 150 and he also puts a 3 year warranty on it. I trust him and I know he can fix it, everyone in my nieghborhood who has had probs with thier 360 takes it to him and they all say he is the best. so is it worth it, voiding the warranty and sticking local?

Just take it back to the store for an exchange,I called them on July 5th to get the box sent out to me.I was in NYC when the box arrived to my house delaying the process for about 4 or 5 days.Now my 360 is scheduled to arrive back to me on the 25th,not bad just 20 days

or just fix it yourself with the x-clamp replacement and some new thermal paste. you know what they say.. "if you want something done right, you have to do it yourself"

Just to let you know it is not a definitive 100% fix. We did my friends launch day 360 and 2 weeks later it still does it...we ended up having to remove the case and have a fan run on the underside of the motherboard for it to even turn on. Since you just bought yours just exchange it in the store and hope the next one runs better.

I'm on my eighth *bleep* console. It stopped working in about a week. The last one they sent me didn't work the first time I tried. Seriously they need to do something about this.

I'm one lucky bastard, i'm still on my first launch date Xbox 360?? I know this thing could go belly up at any moment but i'll worry about that when it happens, so far it's happy gaming for me. Not so happy gaming for you abuzar1, you situation sucks royally.. WTF, 8 360's have died on you!! That's totally unacceptable on M-soft part, those a-holes should have fixed this X-clamp problem themselves, now they launch the Elite with no improvements, ohh and let's not forgot about the Halo 360. Probably won't have any fixes, except a fancy paintjob and 120gb hd, shame on you M-soft.

I know lol. 3 have died in the past 2 months, it would have been less than 2 months but Microsoft has become slow in returning my consoles.

I just got a refurb from microsoft after 3 red lights, and had it modded. Now the one I have keeps freezing after less than a minute of gameplay. The strange thing is that I can play a dvd movie, and downloaded movie trailers on my HDD and that'll work fine. But if I try to play any game disc or any game demos on my HDD the console will freeze within a minute of playing the game. I've never heard of this happening before. My console is in a open area, so is the power supply. I don't think overheating is the problem or the dvd drive since movies work from the HDD, and games from the HDD still don't. What the hell is going on with my xbox 360. Can it be the firmware?
