got to favorites and set up a list of channels(not all will fit unfortunately)
exit and save, then tune to channel 212 or 1212 and leave it for thirty minutes?
1) menu>channels>set favorites>

2) pick one of the favorite lists (eg. sports)

3) add channels to the list, delete channels that already are there if you dont want them

4) be sure to include EPG carrier channel (Chris case 212)

5) exit and save
this is how you get your guide to show the correct info. thanks again to blnkstare for helping us out as he always does.

After you perform the factory rest and load the new bin and update the channels then try the fav settings for EPG

Why do you always say to do a factory reset? Usually i jus put the new file in and it works fine. Are you supposed to do a factory reset?

its seems that after you load so many bins on the receiver it acts a little funny. so doing a factory reset puts all the settings back to what they were when you got the box. just make sure you know what all you Dish Settings need to be set back to after you do it because all settings(except the bin)are erased

on my cs 5000 i messed up all my settings for my dishes 119, 110 and 77. The qualities and levels were all red and when i would do a auto scan everything would show for a couple hours. When it stop showing i would auto scan and it would work for another couple of hours. Any reason why?

Hey Blank, I tried that site f2atv. it must be a huge site and very busy because it took like 5 minutes to load and open the front page. It still says there are no new bins from coolsat though:(

You are supposed to erase all aspects of last bin so you dont get glitches

Does that mean if I wanted to get bev, it would be 20 degrees east of DN

If you go here and type in your zip code it will tell you what you have to do to set up your dish. All you need is a compass and someone watching the signal strength

Bev is 19 degrees south south west of DN 91.0 W and 82.0W but the skew and elevation are different. easiest screnario is to buy a 2nd dish with dual lnbs for BEV

scrambled channel mean your bin is not allowing you to view it. bad or no signal is hardware problem or snow on the dish or heavy rain/winds

Hey guys. Still no news out of f2atv. site yet.Got a question, does anyone know or understand why it takes much longer to get new bins on the cs4k,5k,& 6k models, as compared to cs6100,7000,ect? Are they that much different? Not complaining, just tryin to understand. It just seems to me that if they(the coders) can updated some models, the others would be fairly similar. Again, I'm a "newbie" and just wondered if anyone knew. I have read that it may have something to do with "cloned" models.
