aswell it looks 100% clone but running on 3.00ee

Dont bother with that new update for the clone, Put it on my Box last week and it died on me an hour ago.Just bought a starview 3 a min ago,Hope this wont need updates r im just gunna pick up reading instead

Is the clone fix V1.4 from sunrise good or bad..is it safe to install?

This version was only released last night by Sunrise and is CryptStar 1.4-CORE257Bin for all clone owner's/user's and is available in the library >>>

It is safe to install on clone, it would not be made available in the library unless it was official.

Hi, can anyone help, I have the cloned box and in an ex C&W area south England.
Tried many of the codes but no luck. I am running Boot vers 7.0 Ap version 2.57e_E.

New official release last night for the clone, safe to use and fully auto-rolling thanks to Sunrise, you need to flash to that - it is called CryptStar_1.4-CORE257Bin and you will find it in the Library, flash your box to that and all will be well, find it here >>>

Hi Malci,Ye it was the bad fireware that came out last week,Updated my other starview 1 cloned boxs today with the new fireware,seems to be going grand now.Thanks to sunrise I can stay away from them books for another bit :)

Sorry for sounding stupid..but what does FLASHING mean? is it just installing the v1.4 software or do I need to do something else as well?

Thanks for getting back to me and yes I am aware that malicious file killed your clone, but it is good news with that release last night for the clones - I wish you well and hope that you get a very long service from it - because I think that the writing is on the wall for the clones. Cheers :)

Sorry, that is what it is called whenever you install new firmware, take you have not done it before?

CryptStar-v14-GenuineOnly.zip is for genuine sv's

CryptStar-v1.4-Core257.bin is for clone sv's

Do you have a genuine or clone ??? Count the vents on top ...

First Generation = 13 x 7 rows of vents
Genuine = 25 x 7 rows of vents
Clone = 18 x 7 rows of vents

there both look 100 % clone

1 running on 4.00ee

2nd running on 3.00ee

Ok..Trying to upload the new software.. gets to 100% then says FAIL..
then after trying again only goes as far as 0% then FAIL ABORT TRY AGAIN keeps appearing..
I have uploaded in the past with no problem but noticing when I connect to my comuter and turn the box on ..instead of just saying ON it still displays 0007 the programe number..I can seem to get it to just "ON" I think this is my problem..Any suggestions thanks

Just a word of advice to all those who have a starview that looks like a clone, but has 3.00 or 4.00 firmware loaded.

I took a copy of the 2.57eE_FIXED firmware, and changed it, don't worry, I only did this at home as a test. It was changed to report the version as 5.00, and had a release date of 18 Apr 2008.

I loaded it to the SV, went into System Info, and guess what, it showed up as exactly that, ver. 5.00 and date as 18 Apr 2008.

Now, imagine I am a seller of clone boxes, and the word is out that clones cannot have the latest firmware releases, 3.00 and 4.00. What am I going to do? I know, I'll modify the clone safe firmware so that it looks exactly the same as the genuine firmware when someone looks at the System Information in the menu.

Just be aware that this may be what has happened with your box. I don't know if this has been reported anywhere, but as in the bit above, if I was a clone seller, the game would have been up, so guess what I would have done.

Just be very careful what firmware you put on your starview.

I'm not trying to be a scaremonger, and as stated before, I don't sell boxes of any description, so I have nothing to gain. I just don't want people killing their boxes.

I have already told you - that you should update it with the official release thanks to Sunrise with this CryptStar-1.4-Core257Bin it will be safe for you to use on a clone, it has been released soley for the clone boxes, so if you want to keep your box safe flash it with this, again I assume you have downloaded from here >>>>>>>>
