I think it did work when i installed it, after the install wizard had finished it told me to plug in the cable & a pop up box came up saying that it was ready to use. But i will uninstall it & do it again if you think it will help.

when you check the device manager for the com ports is the adaptor plugged in?

Press Menu and you see the list above ,Installation should be highlighted , then type in 1570 ( you wont see it do anything on the screen ) , when 1570 is done, then you see the secret menu CAS , you should see the last option for EMU , turn it to ON and exit twice.
Make sure you point the remote at teh SV and not the TV and do it slowly lol
If you still cant access the CAS menu , Press Menu > System Information and tell us what the API is please :)

Make sure your cable is plugged into your laptop or the port option wont come up

Don't mean to be a pain but nobody seems to be able to help with my problem. My SV1 has the latest firmware and is working but with only six channels tuned in. I did every thing that Celtic71 suggested but still no joy, a scan before turning emu on only pulls in these few channels which don't even include the FTA channels. Is it time to scrap my box.

Phil Celt usually goes through everything, so I dont what to repeat her, but I assume you tried everything as in EMU on, scan all providers direct from incoming feed, factory reset, etc, etc.

Yes did everything, No damn joy, it's strange because the box is working just won't find the channels. All channels on a different box.

Phil , do another factory setting and an auto scan on your provider , I seen this happen numerous occassions and make sure the incoming cable is in the "Cable Input" socket at the back of the Starvi*w

have you downloaded the rar file gt loader from eamo's library if so you will neeed to download winrar to open it.

Hi guys,
I am a newbie, I have a genuine first generation starview box, one of the guys in the house is a computer engineer and has downloaded the firmware and put it on my box but I am still not able to get any channels, any advice????
