Playing pc games (pc dvd's)

    My son bought Battle Field 1941 and it wont play,I put the disc in and nothing happens.I don't think I have a DVD player program, software?Any hints,on a fix or what software I should use..
    I have a Dell 3600? if it Helps.

    If you're putting a DVD game into a DVD drive it should work, autodetect and so forth, but if you are putting that game into a CD drive it won't work.

    I checked in my device manager and it says CD/ROM (GREAT)NOW will I have to buy a DVD hard drive or can I buy software???PLEASE HELP THE STUPID..Thanks

    Yeah you'll need a DVD drive, but they're pretty cheap now and very easy to install.

    Is that Battlefield 1942? It also comes as CD version, which is what I have, maybe you can trade yours for CD version from wherever you bought it from.
