Need to know some info on iPod video 30GB.

I have an iPod video 30GB and I want to know is it possible to put photos on it manually, like you can do music. I don’t want it to update the photos. The resin is I want to delete the photo off the computer and have it only on the iPod, but when it updates it deletes the photo off the iPod.

The other things is I would like to put a photo as the background on the iPod. I found a guide on like page 18 of iPod modding on how to do this but I can’t get the links to work. Any help would be appreciated.
