Win tv usb help?

hi there i have recently bought a new laptop with vista home premeium on it and today i tried using my win tv usb on it although it is old the problem is not that theres a compatability issue its installs fine from what i can tell but when i go to uses win tv 2000 software all i get is picture with no sound i also tired cyberlink power vcr and with that i ghet sound but a static image on screen of the channel in questoin everythng works fine on xp on my other laptop

was wondering if any one knows what the prioblem might be? any help much appreciated
