installing nero on vista

    I`ve recently bought a new advent laptop running vista and with a 1 gig of memory
    On installing the latest nero premium there comes a stage where you are given a choice to install directx 9 or not. whether I tick the box or not the next button is greyed out and the program installation stops.The computer then crashes and I have to turn it off.Please can any tecchie help

    I have vista too and i am currently running nero premium. What version of vista do you have (bit)? And try installing directx9 manually. good luck
