i'm in the process of backing up all my dvds, but a lot of them won't even show up in the drive. it says no disk. i was wondering if anyone knew how to fix this or why this happens. also when i put the same dvd in my home dvd player it plays perfect. thanks very much.
Consider uninstalling the burner in the Hardware Device Manager, rebooting and allow Windows to reinstall the drivers. Right Click 'My Computer' > 'Properties' > 'Hardware' > 'Device Manager' click on'+' 'DVD/CD Rom Drives', right click the offending drive and uninstall. You can also do the same with the IDE controller.
the method didn't work. now my computer says that the dvd drive is called bourne supremacy because thats the last dvd i watched on it. i'm so lost.
Check the firmware version with the Info Tool http://www.iomagic.com/downloads/utilities/NeroInfoTool_207.zip And look for the latest version. http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_result.php?kaj=1&isces
