I have a liteon 40x cd burner and when i run Nero, the highest speed it will let me burn is 24x. Does anybody know how to fix this problem?

It might not be a nero issue but are you using the latest 5.5.9.0 (they released a newer 5.5.9.0 after the original one)? Also, what is the rated speed for your media since Nero does read the speed of the media and will only allow you to record at a certain rate.

Actually it is the LiteOn drive that has the feature to calibrate the write speed accordingly for the used media.

I don't think it's only a LiteOn thing since some of the CyberDrive's that were 24x were Acer/BenQ and they still had that feature of calibrating the write speed for the media.
