Burning 950 MB movie using CD Writter

Hi,

I have around movie which is around 950 MB in size. I want to burn this into Cd (700 MB) using CD writter.

Can anyone guide as to how I can doit so that when when one Cd is written to its full capacity, nero automatically ask me to insert other CD to countinue full burn operation.
I should also be able to watch these CD on any VCD/ DVD player

 

I assume that it is an AVI file.
AVI2DVD (it can output DVD, VCD and SVCD compliant files)can create the correct number of files and you can use Nero to create the VCD's

A better way is to split the AVI with VirtualDub
This allows you to view and choose a 'natural break' to split the file.
The resultant AVI files are burned to VCD using Nero.

Thanks for your tip. The movie I have is of DAT type. I am not sure if it is same as AVI.

I have Nero Express 7. But it does not seem to have movie split option!

Can I still split it so that it can be burned in VCD through CD writer?

Thanks agian for your reply. I got the Nero Express with my CD writer. It does not have an edit option in the ' Content Menue' as mentioned in the Nero guide whose link you gave!!!!!

Try VCDGear.

http://www.vcdgear.com/download.html

Click on the 'VCD GEAR' button and choose > DAT to MPEG
Load your DAT file and convert it.

Next, select 'Video-Cd' and choose >'Mpeg to Cue/Bin', check the 'span CD images' button to make sure that you get two files.
Pick a location to save and 'start'

Go back to 'VCD GEAR' and choose >Cue to DAT and convert the files back to DAT.
You end up with two smaller DAT files.
Run Nero Express and burn the VCD's separately..
