I backed up a DVD to DVD, and from the new DVD made a DivX. The DivX was of very impressive quality. This could also be because I just also downloaded the latest Gordian Knot and DivX codec, but at any rate it was very good quality from a 2 hour movie.

You can get more quality using Gordian Knot if you select not to encode the credits. But Im sure you already know that, this is for the rest who don't.
im gonna try using gordonknots prog im currently trying out dvdx which aint bad really easy for the noob but the weird thing is every time i've ever tried out any of the guides on ad i seem to mess up somewhere donno im gonna try and let u lot know
Yeah, GKnot is really easy to use. I've tried another program...can't recall the name of it right now, but it wasn't as good.
