For all the Linux users out there Nero has launched Nero Linux 3. To find out more about Nero Linux 3 and give the 15 day free trial a go check out the software section at Afterdawn - link. Or download the trial from Nero - link Hmmm another reason for me to switch at least a pc over to Linux
I wonder if slysoft will ever be linux compatible on any of their software - that would be another nail in MS's coffin for me
hi karen lenny here...did u catch my most recent question about re editing a movie soundtrack with nero 7?is there something nero 7 offers that can do this?hope u had a great weekend. lenny
Hey Lenny Didn't catch it probably cause I only look for things I might be able to answer I'm not good with editing sountracks. Try my.nero again - they have a few more members that are into the audio part that might be able to help. Sorry Weekends are always good as long as I'm not working
hi ok got ya karen.i wrote to the merry folks at nero and to my friend craig who works 4 them.nero didnt understand what i meant(the language barrer i guess)so i re wrote to them.lets c what they say.later gater. lenny
hi karen let me ask you a question.......have you heard of reports of people having problems with the latest nero update?everythime i tried to use the wave editor it would crash....this is after downloading it from the nero website.i just installed more memory into my compter...could this have an affect on it??hope your enjoying your weekend. lenny(the one and only)
Hi Lenny I haven't had any problems w/ the latest version with the apps I use in it but that doesn't mean there isn't any. Each pc setup is different and what may work on one may not work on another. Can't be of much help w/ Wave Editor since I haven't really used it but I doubt loading more memory would make Wave Editor crash.
hi again i just added more memory to my computer.can this adding more memory cause some programs not to work right espically since they worked ok before the adding more memory?? lenny
Hi Lenny No it shouldn't cause any problems - unless maybe it's bad or not compatible but then the pc would probably shut down or reboot. Your best bet for this problem is to start a thread in the pc hardware section>other pc hardware to see if someone can help you sort this out.
hi again renently i updated some optional updates from the microsoft update site and im thinking that maybe these un nessessary updates are fiving nero 7 conflicking problems.do u no how to get rid of these un nessassary options?? lenny
I recently starting using Ubuntu and figured I would give Nero a shot. Well I was a bit disappointed to see Nero Linux 3 was nothing more the Nero Burning rom. Sorry but by the package name and using Nero for Win for years, I thought I was getting the whole package. It's nice for those who like the Burning Rom software this is great, but for some one like me that lets Nero do the authorizing and ImgBurn do the burning, I'll be sticking to using Nero for Windows.
I am running Redhat on my laptop. I cant wait to try out the new Nero. I have always like NERO for Windows. It will be great on Linux
Let us know what you think of it darrins Still haven't gotten around to trying Linux on a pc - hopefully will sooner than later. Like Xplorer4 said though it's not the 'full' Nero - think just the burning part.
All the features in the Linux version of Nero are already installed in other Mandriva Linux programs. nothing really worth having. No recode, no showtime, just the DVD/CD .iso burning, very basic indeed.
Switched over to Mandriva, the program called K3b gives you a few basic functions, Audio CD, Data CD, Data DVD, Copy CD, still prefer Nero in Windoze however. Checked into it some more, gives a lot more functions, google it on the net and look at what it can do.
