Converting

I'm not sure if this has been address4ed before or if I'm totally searching the wrong keywords to find out. I am considering the new nero 7, but am not sure of something. I have a few rare black and white movies (avi, asf, mov) and need to convert them in order to burn them, is Nero 7 capable of specically converting those file types and whatever else I may encounter. And what is this "TMPG DVD Author" thing, do I need all these seperate tools or are they part of the package?

You can convert avi to dvd video with Nero. I am not sure about asf and mov. Hopefully someone here can answer that for you. But here is a great guide to convert avi:
