I downloaded Battlefield 1942, both cds, and tried to install with Alcohol 120%. It starts to install but several files(sound.raf, textures.raf) won't install. I can ignore the bad files and play the game, but it has no textures or sound.
    Anyone know whats wrong?
I have 3 different sets of ISO files and they all give me the same problems.

    Any ideas?

That would be a downside to downloading copyrighted games hehe. Try burning sloooooower.

Also realize that BF1942 has protection on it._X_X_X_X_X_[small]ASUS A7V8X-X, AMD2500+

Installing and playing pc protected games (iso, bin&cue) usually don't work via virtual stealth drive(s) unless it's the "true original image" and sometimes that won't even work(game blacklisted). I've read were many people who donload pc games on file sharing clients use FireBurner.
Backing up Safedisc 2.x requires a "particular" cd burner brands and a dvd\cd-rom preferably to play the backup. Some popular brand name burners that backup Safedisc 2.8-2.9 are:
    1) Plextor Premium (TLA#0002)
    2) Asus 40\48\52x
    3) LiteOn 40\48\52x< preferably this one
    4) Memorex 52 MAXX
    5) Sony 48\52x
    6) Polaroid BurnMAX 40\48\52x

    FireBurner: http://www.fireburner.com/

    FireBurner settings:
Open FireBurner and go to options>configuration>Device Options and under recording options enable disc-at-once 96. Multi session enable close cd and over to the right select 8x for write speed and enable auto correct subchannel and Autocorrect EDC/ECC. Go to the save options tab folder and enable 2352 (Mode track 1) and 2352 (Mode Track 2). I forgot to mention when in the install process, DO NOT DISABLE AUTORUN as FireBurner will ask to disable. Now click file>load tracks for iso and import tracks for cue sheet for bin& cue. Burn the Safedisc 2.x protected iso and see if the backup will launch from your dvd\cd-rom. I hope you have a "2 sheep burner"....
