Hi , i just made a big mistake by buying all the valve games for $79 on steam and now i have to download them which is going to take VERY LONG and i was just wondering when they finish is it possible to put them on a disc and be able to play if i reinstall windows or is there any cracks i need it just i dont want to go downloading 12gb every time i format my hardrives. any answers would be appreciated
Hi, No cracks required to back up your steam content. Go to the folder you have installed steam to and in there you will have a sub-folder called steamapps. Back that up (will be big!!) and if you ever have to format/re-install, just copy it back to that folder and your downlaod won't be that big again. Hope it helps.
Thanks for your help i put counter strike.gcf and contents in my account folder on a disk and reinstalled steam and then put counter strike back on with no probs
