i got an external harddrive a while ago and it used to work on my pc, but after about a month it stopped working on my pc, and doesnt even get picked up by my laptop. i am unsure what to do as i have tried to setup the drivers but my laptop is xp and doesnt need anything to be setup but it still doesnt work.\ what should i do?thnks
Sounds like your Ext Hard drive might be shot. Especially since it's not functioning with either your laptop or your pc... If your lucky you just might have a bad usb cable. Try switching it out with a different cable. Ohh, not sure if there's some type of reset on the hard drive but if there is, give it a shot. In all my years as a Electronics Tech, my best fixes came from either reseating something or doing a full reset.
