Hello, i ran a vista check and the only thing that failed was the graphics card im a little confused i was looking at this one on ebay http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/NEW-nVidia-Ge...59QQihZ017QQcategoryZ3762QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem it says vista compatible and so should allow the aero function to work however it says Memory Type: 128MB / 256MB DDR2/DDR3 what does that actaly mean and then later on it says For Full 512MB support, 1 GB of system memory required In SLI mode, effective memory size is 128MB/256MB. could anyone shed some light on this thanks
Well, to tell you the truth, that card isnt really good.... I would go with something like a 7400 and above for graphics if you're going to run vista. The memory in a card decides on how fast the screen will refresh... In short, more memory means less lag. Heres a more in depth article on how this stuff works: http://computer.howstuffworks.com/graphics-card.htm This isnt really making sense to me, but I think what it is trying to say is that if you want to put two of these togeather in sli, then you need at least a gig of system memory. (If you get vista, make sure you have at least 2, unless you get the basic.)
