Hello I just got a sexy HDTV. Sony Bravia 46W200U. Its got all the sexy things you can expect from a HDTV and more. Im happy with my purchase. Now all I want to do is set up a home made desktop PC to it with an HDMI connection to ensure I get the maximum possible quality on the TV. I made a decision of not buying a Blu Ray player at this point as I thought it would be a good idea to get one on the desktop PC when they are available. Does all of this sound like a good idea? Furthermore, I am looking into get a SONY AV receiver with 3 HDMI repeaters and all 6.1 channels to go with the full set up of the following equipment. Sony Bravia 46W2000U Pioneer DVD upscaling Player SKY HD box Multimedia PC (I want to build one) What sort of advice can I get from all you experts out there? Whats the verdict?
No one has responded. If someone can tell me where to go where there is actively people looking at these posts and offering help/opinions that would be excellent.
The main advantage of the HDMI cable is that it also carries the audio signal, in most cases. Component video cables will give you just as good a picture. Blu ray can be had now for PCs, but are VERY expensive! Here are some Sony A/V receivers. I couldn't find any with 3 HDMI inputs. There are other brands with 3 of them. http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs...0151&langId=-1&categoryId=8198552921644481278 Look around at http://www.crutchfield.com Good luck!
