Sony mp3 Walkman.. Useless.?

    My friend gave me her old sony mp3 walkman
    and there is a slight problem with it..
    it says that there is no database whenever ii try to play songs..
    im sure there is songs on it as ii just put them on there..
    so does anyone kno what may be wrong.?

    Did you put the songs on using the Sony software (SonicStage I think)? It won't play anything unless you do.
