Is Emule any good - could anyone else suggest a better p2p as it seems to be extremely slow

Works fine for me. Could be your ISP is throttling the ports. Google for "Emule tips"

hey I tried downloading emule and it doesn't work for some odd reason. I already allow it to pass my firewall and even created a port so that it will have a faster connection. Any tips
