registering ipod

    i just bought the ipod shuffle, must i register it to be able to use it? itunes says something about creating an account with itunes or apple ot whoever it is, but i'm not interested in using the itunes store. just wanna put my cd's songs in the ipod. so, can i use the machine without having to create this account? thanx in advance

    Nope you don't have to register the IPod. i have the 30 gig Video IPod and didn't register it either. I'm doing the same thing loading my CDs/Concert DVDs on the baby and thats it.I don't need ITunes Store and never will
