Put a modchip for $20
and download PS2 mediaplayer and burn it to cd.

You will be able to watch avi, divx movies.
Can also play mp3. I've have tried a video with 1200 kbps and it plays fine.

P.S the ps2 plays DVD video, CD audio, Psone games and PS2 games

 

i have a chaiiped ps2 where do i get this ps2 media player so i can watch avi on the ps2?? does it play svcd too?

Unfortunately,the mediaplayer does NOT plays svcd. For videos it plays .avi, .divx
with mp3 as sound channels for the video.
