I have an adcom amp/preamp combo and have been trying to hook my new computer to it in order to produce dolbly digital sound replay. So far no matter what i have tried i have not been able to get 5.1 and higher sound to play. I can get normal stereo or at least sound from both speakers to come through. I am using a f1 fatality sound card and trying to connect to an adcom gtp 830. Can anyone help me get my adcom to play 5.1 sound please. If more info is needed i'll be happy to provide it. Thanks much in advance.
I saw this, on your sound card's web page...... Also: Do you have the Sound Blaster Digital I/O Module (Sold Separately)? Also, your software DVD player MUST support DD 5.1 surround. The free software dvd players don't. Download a free trial of WinDVD and see if it works for you. Get it here: http://www.intervideo.com/WinDVD/ Good luck!
you could try this free ac3 filter: http://ac3filter.net/projects/ac3filter or this (Free all in one): (recommended) http://www.afterdawn.com/software/video_software/codecs_and_filters/k-lite_codec_pack_full.cfm
thanks guys i'll try these later on today.. i'm sure my sleeping wife would not appreciate me blasting movies out at 4 am
