    You have to insert the subtitle files when you are converting the movies to dvd.

    i don't know what a son file is, but i do know how to add srt subtitle files to a .avi movie you are making into a dvd using convertx2dvd.

    If this is what you mean then let me know and i will make you a video tutorial, as i think it would make a good addition to my tutorial collection.

    EDIT: sorry that is .sub files, i will now see if i can do srt files

    Is your .srt file named exactly the same as the .avi file?

    Oops still no subtitles. but no error either . Should the srt file be in a note book icon? Because srt file is an (IT says)unknown application and the vid file is in a winamp icon .would this be the problem?

    If your .srt file isn't really an .srt file, but some other filetype with an .srt extension, then that would be a problem.

    If it's a true .srt file then it will be a text file displaying the timings and the text of the subs. Open your .srt file in Notepad and make sure it is just plain text and looks something like this:

    1
    00:05:49,527 --> 00:05:53,839
    Ble hun sint?
    Hvor ble hun av? Hva går av henne?

    2
    00:05:54,007 --> 00:06:00,446
    Hun sto i med en disponent i Gøteborg.
    Hett som bare det, og ganske langvarig.

    3
    00:06:00,607 --> 00:06:03,075
    -Et helt år, visstnok.
    -Nei, hva sier du?
