Any suggestions on what program to use to convert real media video to DVD. I want to put about six real media videos on one DVD. The website for the videos is http://www.jackstargazer.com/JHSG_DNLD.html. I have tried numerous programs and it keeps giving me the same error about not being able to open the file. I have installed real alternative and the K-Lite codec pack. I would appreciate any help or suggestion on how to make this work.

    Thanks,
    Czarman

    rdmercer1,

I tried ConvertXtoDVD and got the same error as I had with the other software programs. Have you used this software and had no problems? Is there something special I need to do?

    Thanks,
    Czarman

Use WinAVI. It should do the trick.

I got some help from the good people at ConvertXtoDVD. I didn't realize that the videos weren't videos but a link to stream them into the player. What a newbie dumb mistake!! Now my new question is how do I get the real video file instead of just the link. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Czarman

you have to save the whole video file on your drive not just the link

    rdmercer1,

I have tried to save the real media files with save target as and using media player classic and it didn't work. I looks like I'll have to capture the real video stream. Is this the right approach? If I'm on the right trail, then what software do you recommend that would capture the real video stream? Sorry for all the newbie questions!!!

    Thanks Again,

    Czarman
