We have a omnibook 6000 DO NOT have BIOS password is there anything we can do besides calling HP and paying 39.95 for a piece of paper to fax back to them to get a phone call from HP to get a bios password to overide that one

I was just playing with it & lucked up on finding out it said when I hit enter & then ESC said Phenox I hope you can help
Try the password phoenix. This is usually a master password for these types of BIOS's. You could also try this utility if you can boot the computer up or if you have a floppy drive and access to boot from it. http://www.softpedia.com/get/Security/Decrypting-Decoding/CmosPwd.shtml
