computer won't start up

    After one year my computer won't start up. it froze after i just turn it on for five minutes i hit the reset button. when it reach the post screen it froze again. i hit resent again but this time it won't start at all it won't even go into the post screen. i tried a different power supply and ram but still does the same thing. my computer spc Gigabyte GA-K8n Pro-SLI board consir 2 gig and a 3800 x2 cpu. i think it could be the cpu or the board. anyone have any idea what it could be thanks for the help

    take a look at the can shaped objects that are capacitors on the motherboard as they are supposed to be flat topped not domed.

    Do the fans power on? I had about the same problem, it turned out to be the board. Can you RMA the board or the CPU?

    Return it to the manufacturer so they give you a new one.

    It's unlikely to be the CPU, so I think you should return the motherboard like abuzar suggested.
