I just bought max payne 2 and i want to back it up. The actual protection in either disc does not come up in clonyxxl, but i found on gamecopyworld that it uses securom "new". Does it have this protection on both the install and play? I have alcohol, so its pretty simple to burn securom new, and 4.8, but what do i use for both discs?
1. ClonyXXL might not be able to detect the protection becausse you have an incorrectly installed ASPI? or because you dont have one installed at all? Ok, i figured everything out, you have to burn both cd's using alcohol, under the securom 4.8* settings, then when it asks u about dms speed or w/e, enter 4x or lower. read speed can be max, but dms speed must be 4 or lower. I burned both cd's sucessfully, and installed it with the backups. Max Payne 2- 2 CD's, Both Securom 4.8*.
Did you burn with a Plextor Premium (52\32\52x)? If not then you use the SecuROM *NEW datatype profile and make backups of both cd's and label "install disc". Determine which original cd is the "play" disc, open Alcohol 120% and go to options>general>shell type and enable ccd (CloneCD).
