I have been trying to burn a DVD but i keep getting an error (again), i back up the film, then use nero express and select DVD Video, then it fails DVD compatability test because a VOB and an IFO are not identical. Ive used smart ripper, DVD shrink i get nv_pck: nv_vobu_ea, DVDdecrypter just cant make it compatable for nero and even just straight windows explorer anddrag the files onto the hard drive and use them from there but just gave me a cyclic redundancy error!! ive looked at the previous messages but theres only been a few about this problem and it was all about ifo editing etc and then someone said it would take ages then i thought HELL NO. must be a quick fix. here is a part of the log, 19.10.2003 UDF/ISO compilation 17:17:13 #1 DVDREALLOC 5 File DVDVideoCompilation.cpp, Line 949 Backup file 'VTS_05_0.BUP' should be identical to 'VTS_05_0.IFO' 17:17:14 #2 Phase 117 File dlgbrnst.cpp, Line 1818 DVD-Video files compliance test failed
If yer using Smart Ripper, then DVDShrink, then DVD Decrypter, that's too many steps. You don't need all those to rip and burn a copy with Nero. Using decrypter after shrink is prolly where yer problem is if that is what yer doing. Use DVDShrink to rip and compress, then burn it with Nero using the dvd-video mode. Just make sure DVDShrink is set properly to compress to the size u need._X_X_X_X_X_[small]There is no problem so big, that a brick placed against the proper skull cannot fix =)[/small]
