Copmaq S6500NX Chipset Drivers

    Hey guys,

    Im having trouble with the USB port on a Compaq S6500NX. The hard drive burnt up and was replaced. Windows XP was installed on the new HD. Now the USB ports are not working. I re-downloaded the chipset drivers and when I went to install them and the computer says that it cannot find a version that will be more compatible with my hardware. However, in device manager I still have the ! on all of the USB ports.

    Any ideas on what could be the problem and how to fix it?

    ive tried installing those twice to no avail....

    uninstall the usb ports in device manager & restart windows so it can find new hardware & load it's drivers.

    no luck, the ports are still not working...
