Hi I shrunk a DVD9 burnt it and it doesnt want to play on a standalone player(Philips 642).On the computer works fine I wasted 6 discs already. If i put it in philips freezes and plays only the menu I tried to reauthor it but no go I tried Ifoedit VTS fix.Still nothing Plays the menu, i can jump to different chapters but it stalls. I can only fast forward It started to drive me nuts If anyone can give a hint how can i fix it i would really appreciate it Thanks
Wasting six discs 'aint funny at all. What type of media are you using and at what speed are you burning at?
i used regular 16x DVD Maxell And i did it like this: mounted the image with Daemon tools opened DVD Shrink- opened the image and shrunk it Didn't remove anything as it didn't have anything to remove Basically it was just the movie no extras no nothing It was just too big to fit on a DVD5 One video stream, 1 audio , 1 subtitle I should have bought a DVD9 now i regret it, but i don't have the original image anymore as i thought it would work.tested it on the pc went just fine. PS: i tried different speeds: 4x 8x 16x
Are you possibly trying to play a PAL movie on a NTSC dvd player or vice versa? Unless you used some hack to make your dvd player region free, that will be a problem.
