hey i have been wanting to start using Linux for a while now and well i was wondering if anyone could point me to a really good tutorial for using and installing it to have a dual boot with XP... thanks for any help and i know i probably could have used Google to search for it but i would like a really nice and easy tutorial about it so i was figuring someone would be able to point a better tutorial than i could find it on Google... again thanks in advanced
Every single distro installs slightly differently. Pick one that sounds good, and go to the home site/forums and read the guides and FAQ's. Before you download anything check that your hardware is or isn't supported out of the box.. that info is best found in the forums. Mainstream is better than obscure. More users = more questions already answered.
