need help with camcorder connection

    I have no connections from the camcorder to the home computer. So i need a certain connection cable or something like that. Also do i need a certain program from a CD ROM or from the internet in which i can download it. Any suggestions will much appreciated.

    How old is this camcorder. If it is fairly new I probaaly has a 1394 (Firewire) plug on it. Some use USB. As far as software you just need the drivers which can usualy be found at manufactors web site. sometimes you have to search a bit to find the drivers, sometimes even more to get them free.

    XP and VISTA already have a program installed that can manage the video. it is very limited in function. there are a bunch of things out there to use for editing that can give you more options.
