hello, so i was under the impression (according apple advertising) that there are no viruses on macs... so why does norton and various other companies have antivirus software for mac osx? is that only if u're running windows on the new intel macs??
Its so you dont spread a pc virus to pc's, as the virus wont do anything to the mac you maybe unaware that you are sending a virus to a person.
yup what he said^^^ and if you are looking to clean up your stuff you should get cocktail (hsould be one of the top sellers on the apple site) it does something idk what it is but I run it every once in a while and it cleans stuff haha.
