will usb drive for usb2 work with usb1.1?

    i'm looking to buy a usb drive but my computer only has usb1.1 ports... will a usb drive that's meant for usb2 still work with usb1.1?

    TO add more detail, it will but it will be VERY slow. A 512MB stick may take a minute or two to fill on USB2, but with USB1.1 it will take around 10 minutes.
