i have plugged my null modem in and when i try to download my firmware from emo the windows computer says it doesnt reconise the file so i cant open it also can u tell me that when i bought the the box should i have gotten a cd software with it : cause i dont see any red arrow which is suppose to be the loading software helpp Plug the RS232 lead into the back of the box and to your PC. • Plug the box into the mains and turn it on. It should display ON, on the display • Double click the red arrow which is the loading software • Now click the bin file button • Double click the starview file • Now click download (this will take a few minute)

Better to do it here as it will help other users also. Was it the Irish V4.5 or the UK V4.51 firmware.

You need to download the gtromloader also, this will allow you to load the firmware to the SV. The gtromloader can be found in Eamos Library at the end of my post, in the Starview Software Folder. This is the red arrow you are looking for. Please save the gtromloader in the same folder as the bin file you have.

Where are you based in uk or ireland as v4.51 is only for the uk market if you are in ireland you need v4.50 which is available on the eko link at bottom of my post
Try this Press Menu > Factory Setting PIN 0000 OK to delete Turn box off at the back for a minute and turn back on English > Installation Choose N*L Automatic Scan Press OK *** Channels found Exit Menu 1570 Turn EMU key ON Exit , exit , exit
im have try this switching off fectory reset scan,,, emo on no channel found if i scan telewest i get 60 chnnels thats all
Do factory Setting first then switch off at the back for a min , then continue with Installaion as abouve
Obviously you have followed all the advise above have you checked that you cables are connected correctly?
