Inquiry: Viewsat Ultra vs2000. (Dish ntwrk Keycodes)

I have the Viewsat Ultra VS2000, I found the most recent updated keycodes for nagra, but my dish network channels still are not appearing after I put in the codes. I used the following code, Last Updated: 2007/07/31 1:15 PM
86: B8 59 DF CF 32 DD 87 6C 3B D1 37 03 07 60 30 6A
96: 5B 27 8C AF D0 1E A5 A6 D7 74 3B A6 B4 21 17 97


When I go back to view the channels, it says auto roll processing, but nothing happens. Am i doing something wrong here? Any help is greatly appreciated!

When i go to the settings, and get to Code Menu, under code menu the following bars appear. CAS - Nagra - Dish - 00 01 00.. Before I didn't have it set on Dish, but on Polsat.. Now that I have it on Dish...

there are for lines of codes; 08, 09, 88, and 89... whereas the codes i had were for 86 & 96.


I'm am quite lost now, if anyone knows what the next steps are, can ya fill me in.. Thanks again.

i inputted those in, but to no avail. I also have 00's in the sequence of the code, but those are all after the combinations you have given me. Should i remove the 00's and just leave what you have posted?

 

INPUT THEM AGAIN...AND REBOOT RECEIVER USING REAR SWITCH...OFF FOR 1 MIN/THEN ON...MAKE SURE ALL AUTOROLL OPTIONS ARE OFF FIRST..

 

Viewsat has a new file out NOW that fixes A/R Its at ftabins

 

can anyone help me with the keys for vs 2000 ultra viewsat

How To Enter Keys Manually In Your VIEWSAT.
1. Menu
2.Installation
3.Enter Pin 0000
4.Code
5.Nagra
6.Left until you see what ever Satellite you want.
Put 00 keys on line 08 & 09 don't change the 08 or 09 number
Put 01 keys on line 88 & 89 don't change the 88 or 89 number
EXIT once then OK to save, the light color is the one you pick to save then EXIT out.

 

bill, i input all lines 08 / 09 a 0 across and 88 / 89 a 1 across, do need to put back the autoroll ON r keep it OFF

can someone provide more specific 101 manually instruction to input the new keys for Viewsat Ultra vs2000, appareantly keys are not complete. also please provide the sat, that needs the new keys

Did you install the new bin for viewsat?

i have not install the bin, but now the channel is id
but no video or sound

 

If you don't have the new bin, you need to keep the auto roll OFF

 

Jerry is the viewsat guy, I think he is on right now. I will see if I can get him to come over here and give you some advice.

 

Hi Bill, I just read your post this morning on the other thread. From reading whats posted here, everything looks right. My Viewsat platinum has this strange thing in the key area, but I'm not sure the Ultra does this or not. In the key area when moving sideways to pick the sat provider, my box actually has DISH listed 2 times. As I go left with the arrow key---DISH will come up once--then if I arrow left a few more times , DISH shows up again. Adding the keys in the first DISH area doesn't seem to do anything. I have to enter the keys in the second DISH area.

Not sure if the ULTRA is the same way or not. At this point, the new bin file may be the best solution and turn auto roll back on.

I really love these things. It seems that there are so many variables built into them that the more I fool with it the more confused I get. I like it when a bin has everything working and I don't have to mess with it. I know it can give me a headache sometime, that is the time I need to get up and go to bed.

 

You must turn autoroll off in the Options first before u change the keys...or it will try to autoroll still.

Dishnet is sat 0101 - the one with 5 lines of code
Skip the first line that starts with 00
The next for are for the keys.

 

The NEW bin file we are talking about fixes the auto roll problem, therefore you would need to turn auto roll back on if you install the new file.

Hello and wow, thanks for providing this forum. I entered the codes as above on my viewsat xtreme and I am having troubles.

I have a few questions. 1st question is what do I do with the code line that begins with 00 and precedes the 08: 09: 88: and 89: code lines?

I tried ignoring the 00 code line and entered the above codes as listed above, I also did so with auto roll on and off, nothing worked.

My channels load by have "no information" where the program name would typically be.

I need some help please. Thanks so much.

 

Install this bin file at the link below. Then turn auto roll back on and you won't need to worry about the keys. It will roll to the correct ones for you.

It may take 5 minutes or more for the first keys to update so just give it time. THIS FILE IS FOR THE VIEWSAT EXTREME
