Hi, can anyone help. Made back up using Smart rip and the brilliant guide on this website but the first 15 mins or so of the film didn´t get ripped, therefore are missing. Tried everything I can think of but cant get smart rip to find the missing bit.
Any suggestions gratefully recieved.

And, by the way, sound and picture weren´t in sync, if anyone has a quick answer. Probably just some setting I missed.

Hm, it might be that your movie is multi-angle movie or uses seamless branching capabilities. If this is the case, you need to understand your ripped video files better, before you can succeed in this procedure. Some material (very hard to follow, but try to read them through and understand them anyway) for you to read:

Thanx dRD, managed to get the missing bit using Rippak. Just the sync to get right.

Sync problem might be caused by FILM format instead of PAL/NTSC. Check the VOB format when previweing with AVI.cfm" class="forum_link" target="_blank">DVD2AVI, if it's FILM then you need to encode using NTSCFilm template in TMPGEnc (if you are making VCDs..).
