I'm all new to this so I am a real amateur so not sure if this is the area to post this but I am trying to decrypt a movie I downloaded. It doesn't appear to be a AVI file extension god knows what it is but this is how it appears to me.

So I have the name of the movie followed by .TS.XVid-mVs

So then when I open it is is like a folder containing multiple files which is unlike the others I have downloaded. If no-one can help I will just have to leave that one I suppose.

    Any info would be helpful

There are 4 folders main one CD1, CD2, Sample & mvs-potc3 MSinfo Document. So when I open up CD1 or CD2 there is files in there that aren't AVI files here is an example of two of the files mvs-potca.r00 & mvs-potca.r01 they basically go up in numbers but are all the same if you know what I mean. There are about 52 of them in each CD1 and CD2 folder. The sample folder contains a AVI file but is only a sample of the movie so runs for about 59 seconds.

I don't know I have downloaded 2 other movies without any problems at all that is why I am thinking I must of picked the wrong type of movie to download from Utorrent. Oh I don't know.LOL

Also the last 2 files in the folders are mvs-potca.rar & mvs-potca.sfv if that makes any sense to you.

What are you using to extract the files - WinRAR?
Right click on only one of the files like .r01 in cd1 then pick extract here - do the same for cd2.
After you extract the files you'll have 2 halves of the movie in avi format.

thanks done that now so will I have to effectively decrypt them separately and have the movie on 2 cd's or can I get them on the 1 CD after decrypting them.

Ok once you extract them you can join/merge the 2 avi's.

If you're using Nero Vision add both avi's then highlight both and look to the bottom left of the screen where you'll see 3 icons. Click on the middle one to merge them.

Or use VirtualDub to join them. Here's a guide.
