fixing audio with nero 7

hi gang

heres my story...i made a dvd movie from a decent copy of a movie on
a new video tape sent to me from a friend.my panasonic dvd recorder
improved the picture quaility but the audio part needs to be fixed up
somewhat...there is some distortion due to the way the video tape was
recorded from the original tv broadcast that this was taken from.how
can i use nero 7 or can i use nero 7 to edit the sound??
