I downloaded a 800 mb file which is in avi format, i attempted to view in windows media, and 'unable to download codec' yet i did install codec and codecs for wm9

I also am having trouble trying to convert the file to a mpeg to burn to cd or dvd, every program i try fails to show the video on it either

Anyone have any suggestions on both these issues?

Also, how do i know if its in dviX format? or is it just a standard avi file...._X_X_X_X_X_[small]AlaskanWolf[/small]
