need help with nokia d box 2

hello people, im in desperate need of help with my d box 2. i got it from germany and everything seemed fine until i scanned it and didnt get any channels. im getting 188 transponders but no channels. i realise i might have rig it up to my laptop but i have nt a clue how to go about it, any help would be greatly appreciated, please save my d box from an unsavoury death from a hammer as its starting to do my head in. thanks in advance. bazzer.

its a nokia d box 2 with sportster image, i ve scanned it 3 times and the last time i got about 40 channels bbc1 etc but no channel 4. i dont know what to do...the hammer is out !!!! oh and im in dundee if thats any help. cheers mate.

 

Simply flash a UK modded image.

 

how do you do that then? sorry if that sounds dumb but im a total novice at this game.

 

i read a thread else where that said about rigging the box up to my laptop. i think i need an rs-232 cable or some thing is this correct, please help...time is running out !!!!!!
