well, everything looks good, except for the power supply.. I've never heard of "X Pro", so it could be a faulty one. I would go with an antec or thermaltake, they make god PSUs. Also, if you have a quad core processor, why not have an 8800? If you are just ging to settle with a 8600, then i think a duel core, something like a E4300 and then just overclock it. I heard that some core 2 duo processors can be overclocked to be faster than the quad core ones, and they cost a fraction of the price!
the brand of the power supply is ultra. i think i9am ganna end up with the 8800. and one more question. is 750w strong enough for this set up?
as for the psu i never heard of that one either but i'd say go for this one CORSAIR CMPSU-620HX ATX12V v2.2 and EPS12V 2.91 620W but thats just my opinion and the graphics card prolly should go up to an 8800 i almost picked the same one but someone on here said the 8600 would be too slow
8800GTS 320mb sometimes outperforms the 640mb on lower resolutions. 8800GTX 768mb if you have money 8800 Ultra, don't go there. So I think 8800GTS 320mb is the best choice. Considering it pwns 8600 out of the water.
well the website im (possibly) buying the parts from says that everything will be around 1600 with the 8800GTS. so a 620w psu is good enough? i might get liquid cooling to.
are you going with newegg? and 620watts might be ok. . . but i would go bigger so you can expand later without getting a new PSU. Look for ones with 80% or more Efficiency.

Either of those power supplies mike posted are fine, but DON'T go with the X-Pro, Ultra PSUs are a bit dodgy sometimes. I personally would recommend the 620W Corsair that was mentioned earlier, that's very good. As for the specs, agreed on going with an 8800, a Quad core is silly with a cheap graphics card. 620W WILL BE ENOUGH.
