i recently tried repairing a copy of windows xp on a hard drive. before i started repairing i decided to not go thrugh with it and try something else. the screen came up "please wait 15 seconds for the pc to restart" so i waited. whn the computer rebooted it gave me the message "missing NTLDR" and asked me to restart my computer.

now i cannot do anything past that message it will not boot from a cd floppy or another HDD. i have reconnected all the wires and evrything is in place but still getting the same message.

what is the cause and how do i fix it?

I assume it sees the Hard drive in the BIOS?

If it does, your XP install is corrupt and you need to repair it using an XP recovery CD.
