i want a laptop that can burn DVD's and CD's, have vista, be able to manage my iPOd music and movies and be able to play some low end games (Sims 2, guild wars, etc). I would like to get one now, but my parents are arguing that no matter what laptop you get something better will come out a year later.(so why by anything with that attitude?) I saw this Toshiba laptop on sale at our electronics store: Toshiba Satellite Notebook with AMD Turion™ 64 X2 Mobile Technology TL-56. I know that the Turion processor is pretty good since it's newer and from what i hear Toshiba is a good brand(cold anyone verify that?) but would this computer be worth $699 or is there something out there that would be more worthwhile?

would like some user input or if you could point me towards some user reviews that would be great!!!
    thanks

This thread seems remarkably familiar, right down to the two games mentioned. Have you not posted this question already?

You need to provide me with the specification of the laptop before I can answer, but that price, I'm pretty much Certain it won't be able to play games.

Hmm, the X1200's not too bad, you may as well go with it, if you're prepared to sacrifice some detail settings.
