Hi i have a promise fasttrak s150 sx4-m raid controller card, currently i am running windows xp 32 bit on it, but i need to run 64 bit windows on it, however i don't see an appropriate driver for this card on the promise website (www.promise.com) dose anybody have an appropriate driver? thanks.
2.25? Where did you get that from? A friend of mine runs XP 32-bit and it recognises 3GB, which is ample. I think you're creating far more problems than you're solving in moving to a 64-bit OS.
if it dose then he dosnt have service pack 2 installed. as far as the problems i have already located 64bit drivers for the rest of my hardware.
ok i found another person with the same problem it is a windows xp 32 bit limitation as i previously stated.
and also this one (although this guy is having a the problem in 32 bit vista)but he explains the limitations of a 32bit os, which brings me back to my question, i have 64bit drivers for all my hardware located, (except my fasttrak) and i even own 64bit windows, can anybody point me toward a driver for my Promise FastTrak S150 SX4-M? (a SX4 driver will do just fine, the only difference is that the SX4-M came bundled with 64mb of ram, its the same card other then that) thanks all.
i contacted promise and they agreed to send me a beta driver if i sign a disclaimer, i urge all that read this and cant find a driver for a promise product to contact them, they are quite friendly and give good support for there products thanks for your help sammorris.
