hi people im having this horrible problem with what seems to be my usb ports , as i have two external disks that have all my librarys from itunes and photos from picasa, whenever i try to load my songs and photos from this hard disks the whole computer gets sooooo slow and almost useless, this only happnes when i load large information from any usb port device, i tought it was one of my hard drives but it happened to both of them so i think it must be my laptop ports MY LAPTOP IS A DELL INSPIRON 9300
Do you have USB 1.1 or 2.0 ports? Also writing large amounts of data over USB is going to slow you down period.
